MK Money Lifeline Provide Winter Support to Those in Need
Last year, thanks to the generosity of local people, we awarded a grant to MK Money Lifeline, who work hard to offer practical advice to those struggling with debt.
Recognising that many of their clients needed additional support during the winter months, a grant was awarded to MK Money Lifeline to give financial support to those most in need.
The £3,000 Cost of Living grant was turned into sixty £50 vouchers for pre-paid electricity and gas meters, to support those struggling to pay for energy over the winter months.
Sally Anderson, a senior debt advisor at MK Money Lifeline, shares a few stories of those clients who benefitted from the additional support last year:
"One client, whom we were finalising a Debt relief order for was over the moon saying, 'This is great, I can have some hot food for this week now,' and another was gobsmacked that he had been given one, so that he could have some heating on when his daughter visited.
Another client had just come out of hospital, and had no gas or electricity, so contacted us for help. He was thrilled and grateful for this voucher."
With the cost of living crisis only intensifying this winter, we need your support more than ever in helping to support community groups such as MK Money Lifeline.
