Corporate Volunteer Scheme Provides £12,500 in Pro Bono Support
MK Community Foundation is proud to share that its corporate volunteer programme has contributed over 70 hours of professional support to the Milton Keynes Voluntary Sector over the last year, roughly equating to £12,500 in Pro Bono Support.
The Capacity Building Programme is a newly forged branch of MK Community Foundation offerings, which connects corporate volunteers and their professional skills with local organisations in need of skills-based support.

Jerry volunteered his time through the programme to design and facilitate two business planning workshops, specifically designed to support Milton Keynes charities and community groups with their business planning.
“It’s a nice way to give that knowledge back into the community.”
Local organisations benefit from the expertise and resources of skilled professionals from the corporate sector, without having to hire additional staff or incur additional costs.

The Capacity Building Programme aims to bridge the gap between the Corporate and Voluntary sectors of Milton Keynes.

2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when MK Community Foundation joined thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.
