Milton Keynes Community Foundation Celebrates Outstanding Voluntary Organisations with the Carole Baume Award
The Milton Keynes Community Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the prestigious Carole Baume Award, recognising voluntary organisations that have inspired and achieved greatly in the past 12 months.
Named in honour of the late Carole Baume, a beloved member of the Foundation's trustee board and a passionate advocate for the voluntary sector, this award celebrates the impactful contributions of local organisations in serving the community.
The Carole Baume Award received a remarkable number of applications this year, demonstrating the vibrant spirit and dedication of the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes. After a rigorous selection process, finalists were shortlisted and judged by an independent panel of esteemed colleagues within the sector.
Best Innovative Project
This category acknowledges community-driven initiatives that showcase exceptional creativity, effectiveness, and commitment in addressing local challenges.
The winners are:
Gold Winner: Safety Centre Charity
Silver Winner: Drug & Alcohol Family Support (DAFS)
Honourable mentions include: Keeping Kids Off the Streets CIC, Curly Tails, and Fishermead Breakfast Club for their commendable efforts in driving innovation and positive change within the community.
Best Inclusive Project
Recognising organisations that excel in fostering inclusive environments where diversity is celebrated and integrated into all aspects of operations, the winners are:
Gold Winner: Camphill Milton Keynes
Silver Winner: Ailsa's Aim
Awake To Know Africa and York House Centre are also commended for their dedication to inclusivity and diversity within Milton Keynes.
Special Recognition for Most Collaborative Project
This special recognition award celebrates projects that demonstrate exceptional commitment to collaboration and partnership, emphasising their impact in uniting different entities toward a common purpose.
The winner is:
Overall Winner: Willen Hospice
MK Food Bank - MK Can, Baby Basics MK, and Cowper & Newton Museum are also recognised for their outstanding collaborative efforts and commitment to driving positive change within the community.
