#GivingTuesday

A global day of giving

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday (28th November 2017) is a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to come together and give something back.

2017 is the fourth year that local businesses and members of the public will come together to support us and our community. This year our #GivingTuesday campaign will raise funds for our Surviving Winter Fund.

Surviving Winter

The ‘Surviving Winter’ campaign offers people like you the opportunity to support some of the most disadvantaged people as the cold nights draw in. As heating bills are ever increasing, it can be difficult for some people, especially the elderly, to stay warm and safe within their own homes, and difficulties may be faced with saving enough money for food and other necessities.

Many of the people who need help are often isolated socially; without the help from friends or family, it is vital that these people can receive the support they so desperately need and deserve.
