He actively supports the Citizens Advice Bureau and Stoke Mandeville Hospital Scannapeal. He is a founder member of Stowe House Preservation Trust and deputy chairman of the governors of Stowe School. He is a keen sportsman, and music is one of his great loves.
He has always been grateful to Buckinghamshire, in particular to the County Education Authority, which enabled him to take up a place at agricultural college and to pursue his chosen career after his father died. He considers it a huge privilege to serve as Her Majesty's High Sheriff for Buckinghamshire, and hopes that in his role he will be able to extend his knowledge of charitable work within the county.
